What Is Reflections?

Reflections is a PTA sponsored art competition.  Students create original works of art on their own.  There are six categories in which to enter:

• Dance Choreography (entry is on CD or DVD, dancer does not have to be student entrant)  rules
  
• Music composition (instrumental, voice) rules
  
• film making (entrant acts as director, screen writer, camera person, not necessarily actor) rules
  
• literature (prose, fiction, nonfiction, does not have to be written in English) rules
  
• Photography (any photographic techniques may be used) rules
  
• 2-dimensional visual arts (painting, drawing, print making, photographic collage, metal etchings/punch work, fiber work, computer generated art) rules

Entrants compete locally within age groups (k-2, 3-5), with merit winners advancing to the state level competition.

All entries must be completed entirely by the student.  They can work on their entries at home, or if they need supplies, they can work with us during Art After School.

Judging is based on the best interpretation of the theme, creativity, and merit within the chosen category.
